I was wondering if I should go ahead and get fully expanded before I start my radiation treatments

Radiation and expanders don't play well together. I would want them fully expanded prior to starting radiation. I was told no implants once you've had radiation because of tissue issues as you've read here where the radiated side doesn't heal well, it doesn't stretch well. I am surprised your doctor recommended this for you. Capsular contraction is a big issue with expanders/implants on raidiated breasts.
