can a implant ever be put in immediatly following a propholatic mastectomy.do u always have to use expanders first?

Dear brettus:  This is a question that should be posed to your plastic surgeon as he/she would be familiar with your anatomy.  In most cases expanders are used but the final decision depends upon the amount of available skin, the size of the implant and the ability to acheive a good cosmetic result and these are best answered by the plastic surgeon.
