fatty tissue

hi my mum had her breast removed due to breast cancer and 2 yrs later she has found a lump on the same breast she does not not weather it could be the big see bk again or if it is fatty tissue it is hard and has growen could anyone help me and tell me if they no what it is can fatty tissue grow and is it hard please help?

If your Mother has found a lump on the operative side she should see her Dr. as soon as possible for an examination and whatever testing is needed. I would think that she has mammograms at least yearly and also sees either her Surgeon or Oncologist every few months since her breast cancer was only 2 years ago. If her mastectomy was 2 years ago I would assume that she was given some form of treatment after her surgery and pt.s are usually followed for some time after treatment. It's impossible to speculate over the internet as to the cause of this lump ... please make that appointment with the Dr.
