fibroadenoma and later risks

Hi, had anyone had the experience of haviing fibroadenomas and then later getting breast cancer?

3 years ago i was dx c breast fibronoma i had two surgeries so far. i just had my mamogram last week. what are the chances of getting benign tumors again?

I had fibroadenoma removed from right breast.  One year later I was diagnosed with cancer in left breast.  I don't know if there was any connection but the irony of all that time worrying about my right side while a much bigger problem was developing on the left doesn't escape me.

thanks Japdip, I had 2 tumors removed a couple of weeks ago in the left breast-- one of them looked hghly suss on the ultrasoound- however at core bx it was ok and at removal-ok too. years ago I had same thing in right breast removed x2

Fibroadenoma is a benign breast tumor. If there are multiple tumors or complex Fibroadenomas there may be a very slight increased risk for the development of breast cancer in the future.  Regards ....
