HI,
I had a lump of 20*15*13 mms in my left breast. Recently i have done surgery for that to remove it. But after 15 days too i am not feeling any improvement in pain. Is there any question of getting it again in my life?
Regards,
Linky
Hi,
Do not panic and follow up with your breast specialist and breast surgeon regularly.
You would not have any problem in lactation, and the increase in size in pregnancy is very variable.
You should just carry on regular breast self examinations and report any abnormal features to your doctor and get periodic evaluations.
Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.
Regards.
Hi,
What my doctor in my university clinic said bother me and makes me disappointed (she is specialist in women diseases). She advises me to remove my lumps as it will be bigger during pregnancy. I told her that my surgeon suggested to me to leave them as they may recur. They are not two they may be three small lumps with one is bigger than them. I don't know if they will be as a problem for me after marriage with the scar of the first surgery. I am asking myself if I can in the future feed my baby from my natural milk
Thanks for all of you
Hi,
Fibroadenomas are benign breast lesions that are usually managed conservatively or non surgically. They are followed up with regular breast self examinations, periodic clinical breast examinations, and repeat mammogram at 1 year.
These usually regress at menopause. They are surgically removed only if they are very large and causing pressure symptoms or pain.
You should not worry about these interfering with your married life, but do follow up with your doctor regularly.
Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
Yes I am, for 3 years up to now. Living normal, don't think that you would look ugly or that you would have a difficult relationship with your partner. I am living as if I don't have'em. My problem is that I have hormonal fluctations which causes infertility issues. I am trying to concieve and become pregnant with out taking medications because they might aggravate fibroadenoma.
If you are to marry, do consult your doctor, and see what is best for you, because people cases differ in treatment.
Cheer up

Hi sunrise86,
Let me share with you my personal experience. I have been diagnosed with fibroadenoma 5 years ago and made a surgery to remove it! Now it came back again in both breasts. I have 2 in the right and one in the left. My doctor told me that surgery is not recomended since it can come again, so I will end up having scars on my breasts. I was as well told that they are non cancer, but only after I did a biopsy, U/S and mamo to confirm that they are clean. So I decided to let them, specially that I am very thin, I can easly feel them on breast self exam, and they are movable and a bit tender. I have them because I have an issue of missed periods, hormon fluctations. They do sometimes bother specially during periods they are painful.
I am not an expert to give advise, but I wish you all the best.
