fibroadenoma

I recently had a stereotactic biopsy.It was very painful I had a lot of bleeding and  got a blood clot.I was in a car accident on the way home and had to go back to hospital for excesive bleeding from the biopsy. I have lost the use of my arm. It goes numb. The dr. dont know what happen, whether it from the biopsy or the car wreck( I was hit from behind while at a red light. MY Question is this, I got my results back today and it says FIBROADENOMA with MICROCALIFICATIONS.multiple tan brown,tan yellow and red brown soft pieces of tissue together are 6.0x4.5x0.2cm
It then says THE specimen consists of multiple fragments of breast tissue and clotted blood. There are circumsized areas of compressed ducts and dense fibrous stroma with microcalcifications. What does all this mean?

Well, you really had a bad day there ... as far as the numbness in your arm, I would lean more towards the accident and possibly something involving your neck since you hit from behind. You might think about having that ck.d out if the numbness continues. Now back to the first issue .. Fibroadenoma is a benign tumor and really no cause for serious concen. The microcalcifications are an indication that the breast tissue is reacting to some abnormality within the breast .. that would seem to be the Fibroadenoma. The stroma is the supporting structure of an organ and is found to be dense and fibrous. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with the biopsy .. some women would agree with your experience and some have no problem with it .. just an individual reaction; we are all different and react differently to procedures. Please do persue the problem with your arm numbness though.  Regards .....
