fibroadenomas and cancer concerns

The radiologist decided that he wanted to take a biopsy after having an ultrasound on my right breast.  While he was taking the biopsy he was having a diffcult time getting at it as the needle kept going above or below it and not in it.  Eventually he felt he had enough to test.
When the nurse called back with the results she refered to it as fibrocystic change, 4mm with irregular borders, the features were overall benign. They indicated that if the nodules were to get larger then to re-evaluate.  Should I be pressing the issue to have it removed?
I'm 35 years old and there is no history of breast cancer in my family, that I'm aware of, although many other types of cancer.
Should I be concerned?

Just to say that so far what my consultant has said is that he usually only removes Fibrodenomas if very big or if growing.
I had my op last Thurs to remove a lump, but mine was the size of an egg which the biopsy said was benign. I get the results for the lump itself in two weeks. Mine may be a Phyllodes tumour & I have already been warned I may have to have the operation again to remove a small area of good tissue as these tumours can grow back...but I'm hoping not!
Just for anybody else with the same worries I had. I am small breasted & was out of my mind with worry as to how it would affect me cosmetically taking a lump out that big.
After the op I had no pain whatsoever...just very badly bruised & apart from that, my breast looks fine. In fact I was more ill & sick after the op because of lack of food & the anaesthetic...I get migraines. The cut was around the aeriola? & so is as unobtrusive as possible, which is why I hope I don't have to have it all over again!
I hope that for some of you the above gives some comfort.

If the tissue around it was benign, there's no need to remove the fibro adenoma. They will probably monitor the area every 6 months to watch for any changes.

Dear Lemarie:  Whether or not to have the lump removed depends upon your doctor's and your comfort with the biopsy results.  The tissue that was removed showed no evidence of any malignant changes.  The presumption is that this is a representative sample from the "nodule."  If you are feeling concerned, you may wish to discuss this with your doctor, including the possibility of an excisional biopsy.
