fibroids

I have had a radiologist tell me that a mammogram needs to be redone to check if crossed fibroids may be a lump. How likely is this?

I'm not sure what is meant by "crossed fibroids" in this case. Fibroadenomas are lumps and can usually be felt upon examination and fairly easily identified by either Mammogram or Ultrasound. I would think this re-check is either a magnification or compression view which zeros in on a specific area of concern. This is not an unusual happening and Fibroadenomas are benign breast masses.  Regards .....
