half dose arimidex

Can anyone tell me anything about half dose of arimidex.  I recently started with the 1mg dose of arimidex (standard) and feel horrible.  Tired, shaky, mental fog, very emotional. I weigh only 124lb and recently had my ovaries removed, so my question is:  why do I have to take the full 1mg of Armidex when women who are heavier than me and still have their ovaries take the same dosage. Will a half dose or every other day dose be just as effective for me? If anyone knows where I can get this answered, please let me know. I would like to get some information before I speak with my onc., I guess I need some ammunition.  Thanks

The answer you seek can only be gotten from your Oncologist !!! You should NEVER stop, or reduce a medication without first consulting your Oncologist !!!  This is very important so please contact their office before you make any medication changes !!!

Did you discuss lowering your dosage of Arimidex with your oncologist?  If so, what was the response?

I have spoken with my family doctor who is going to contact my oncologist to see what my options are.  Lower dose, or tamoxifen of what my chance of recurrance is if i decided to take nothing at all.
