hardening of scar tissur

I had a lumpectomy five years ago followed by chemo and radiation for stage 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma.  Through out the years the pain at the incision site has increased and now the scar tissue feels rock hard.  Is it normal for scar tissue to harden over the years.

Scar tissue can harden with the passage of time. If there is quite a lot of pain you might consult a Surgeon and discuss a scar revision. Perhaps a Plastic Surgeon would be a good choice for a situation such as yours.   Regards ....
