I had a biopsy I'n dec and my doctor said it was it looked like cancer and they thought it was but the results said fibromatosis but when i seen the doctor after surgery he said the tumor has been sent off which still could be cancer ???how come when they have told me the biopsy  was benign

I agree with Japdip,that if your tumor looked suspicious to your doctor from the start,a biopsy could have sampled only part of it that revealed benign results.To make sure, the Surgeon is requiring more testing on the whole tumor extracted to make sure that no malignancy is present.
Try not to worry so much,sometimes also suspicious lumps turn out benign in nature and your results could be just that.
