herceptin

I am her2neu positive (3+), and I am in a random drug trial.  I am receiving standard tx., AC followed by taxol, and then radiation.  I am also on tamoxifen.  I was hoping to receive herceptin.  Is herceptin still only available for stage 4 cancers, or would I qualify for herceptin through another channel?  I am in stage 3 with a tumor larger than 5 cm. and >10 positive lymph nodes.  I had bilateral mastectomies.
thank you

Dear Fon, Current use of Herceptin is in the metastatic setting.  Research continues as to it's role in other situations.  Until more data is known about it's benefits in other situations, it's use other than for stage 4 cancer is recommended in the setting of a clinical trial.
