homogeneous parenchyma

homogeneous parenchyma

I am 25 years old and just had a sonogram for a lump that I felt on my right breast. The results of my sonogram say that it is a homogeneous parenchyma measuring 2.5x2 cm and is a lobulated solid nodule.
What does this mean? I can't find much information on any of this and have been set up to see a surgeon in two weeks. What should I expect?

These terms simply describe the make up of the finding which is a solid lobulated (many sm. parts like a bunch of grapes) nodule. I would think the Surgeon would first examine, then review the films and adivse some type of biopsy. Sonogram is not used for diagnosis but only to describe what is seen that may be abnormal. Diagnosis is left to a biopsy where some tissue is removed and studied under the microscope to determine it's true nature.  Regards ....
