Hi,
riley180 has explained the radiological score of the mammogram. The mammogram reports any calcifications present and an sonogram would help in distinguishing a lump in the breast whether cystic or solid.
Risks of you developing a breast cancer would be on basis of certain parameters,
1.age at menarche
2. age at marriage and age at bearing the first child
3. lactating history
4. Contraceptive pills usuage
5. familial history of breast cancer, colonic cancers,---
With the mammogram results, it would be advisable that you be screened annually, but you may also need a sterotactic needle biopsy to be ccertain.
Hi. Some descriptions may vary from radiologist to radiologist reading the plate. Its best to check check the radiologist's score using the BI-RADS. The cut-off is in between 3 and 4. If it is read as BI-RADS 3, the chances that there is malignancy is very low (<2%) and follow-up is recommended, if it is scored as 4 chances become (23-34%) and this would trigger a biopsy.
