i'm afriad i have paget's disease

I've been having itching, burning, and scaling of my right nipple and what seems like a pimple is there.  I got an immediate appt with my dermatologist.  He only gave me a body wash for a skin infection, I said I think its cancer.  He was sure it wasn't.  I've been panicing and scared that this is going to be too late to be treated because the drs aren't listening to me.  What should I do?  Thank you.

Dear disasterqueen, Give the recommendation from your dermatologist a try to see if this clears up the problem.  A skin irritation or infection is a much more likely problem than Paget's disease.  If the problem is not getting better in the next week or so, or worsens get back in contact with the dermatologist.
