inflammatory breast cancer

I am confused about the "red rash" sign of Inflammatory Breast Cancer.  I have had a red itchy rash between my breasts for some time and it has not cleared up w/a fungus cream (prescribed by dr.) Could this patchy rash be a sign of breast cancer?

Dear Krick, A red itchy rash between the breasts does sound more like a skin condition than an inflammatory breast cancer.  If this rash has not cleared up with the fungal cream there may be another source to the rash which, a dermatologist could be helpful in diagnosing.

Breast cancer found on self-exam is most commonly found as a hard, irregular lump, which feels different from the rest of the breast.   Symptoms of inflammatory breast cancer are redness, swelling or increased heat of the skin.   Skin change in the breast called peau d’orange (skin resembling the skin of an orange) may indicate an advanced stage.
