I have just completed 16 radiation treatments after a lumpectomy in June. My tumour was 0.6 cm in size, pathology showed clean edges and no lymph node involvement. Since the surgery, my nipple has become inverted and is tender, and has started to show some slight discharge. Should I be worried?
Inverted nipples can be caused by several things; one of which is breast surgery. It occurs when anything changes the traction of the breast structure. You should of course bring this to the attention of your Dr.s. Regards .....
