irregular contour of breast on chest x-ray?

I am 40 years old. 2 years ago had mammogram and 7mm mass found to be benign after cone down compression. In april Had a cyst on outside of left areola and went in to ob. She said it was nothing but scheduled a mammogram. I had mammogram done in april, and was called in for ultrasound on left breast. found approx 1cm cyst and was told to come back in November. Recently have had pain in right armpit. Went to regular doctor for check-up and chest x-ray, (am trying to quit smoking), was told nothing to worry about in the armpit, but that my chest x-ray looked abnormal to him. the right breast contour was abnormal looking to him, said it was the first thing he noticed on the chest x-ray. Said he was surprised that nothing was noted on the mammogram and he wants me to come back in 1 month for a breast exam. I have never heard of anything being seen on a regular chest x-ray. Does this make any sense to you and should I just wait until November for the ultrasound or see my primary GP again in one month. My husband thinks I should see a breast specialist and find out if all is ok, I feel like I may be overreacting. What do you suggest?

Dear Overly Paranoid:  I agree with your husband.  I have never heard of this type of finding on a chest x-ray.  And...If it were something to be concerned about, why wait a month.  Go see a breast specialist and make sure all is okay.  Put your mind to rest.
