is a clear hormone level blood test a good or bad sign with breast lump\?

hi all just wonderng if any one could tell me their experience with regards to breast lumps in men. my hubbie had a blood test last week for hormone levels, not sure which hormone, but it was after visisting doc with a breast lump under his right nipple. thelump is tender and he has been referred. when he called today he was told the tests were clear but was not given any further info. just wondering what this indicates. thanks all

I'm not quite sure what "clear" would mean either. He might call back and ask for more detailed information. I would assume that the test was done to indicate an increased level of a particular hormone since some breast conditions are said to be hormone related. Perhaps the referral (I'm guessing to either a Breast Specialist or Breast Surgeon) will clear up any questions or concerns you both have. I always advise pt.s to make a list and take it with them to their appointment and to take someone along as an extra pr. of ears too.   Regards ...
