joint pain

by pammiek, Nov 22, 2008 07:19AM
I have had lumpectomy (Oct 07), chemotherapy (taxotere and carboplatin) and 12 months herceptin. I am now experiencing strong pain in my hips and shoulders worse at night and preventing me from sleeping. I also have fatigue.  I have tried sleeping tablets plus either tramadol, panadeine, panadol or panadeine forte.  None of these seem to help me get any sleep. I take glucosamine and fish oil. The pain starts when I lie on my hip or shoulder and worsens till I have to turn over to the other side causing me to waken every 15 minutes.  Is this a usual side effect and will it improve in time as at the moment it is getting worse each week.
