I'm sorry to hear what you are presently going through. These symptoms can be due to neuropathy, or damage to the nerves which can be due to the side effects of chemotherapy especially Taxol. These side effects can persist for months and can really take some time to resolve. Carpal tunnel syndrome is also a plausible cause and this can be treated by an orthopedic surgeon. I suggest that you discuss with your doctors regarding more intensive treatment for neuropathy symptoms (NSAIDS, anti-convulsants, etc.). Also, you may want to check your uric acid levels as high levels can precipitate an arthritis-like attack.
