leaking and a very painful lump

im worried because my mom had breast cancer. i have had breast discharge since 04. i was diagnosed with a craniopharyngioma and had surgery in 06 but my breast never stopped leaking. my craniopharyngioma has regrown. now the problems that is going on now. my leakage is milky and has gotten sticky, and my left breast is so tender and i have a knot about a inch long in the outer edge of my breast,it hurst to press on and will move just a little. i have a thick band all around my breast ,like a wide under wire under the skin. does this sound like cancer? im so scared and going threw so much im scared to find the truth. does breast cance lumps hurt ? my mom told me she got a very sharp pain and thats how she found hers. need advice and please be kind

As a rule breast cancer does NOT cause any pain. Most painful lumps are either cysts or Fibroadenomas, both of which are benign. Breast discharge is not unusual and rarely a cause for concern unless it is bloody,from one breast only and spontaneous. I think you would be wise to have a clinical breast exam by your personal Physician and perhaps an Ultrasound which might be of value in diagnosing the nature of the lump you describe. You should NEVER be afraid to investigate and find the cause of any breast issue ... the sooner you know what it is, the sooner you can put your mind at ease. Worrying has never been known to help in any situation so see your Dr. and have an exam, OK ??   Kindest regards .....
