leg cramps

Has anyone had problems with leg cramps on Tomoxifin?  I was on Arimidex for 3 years and had extreme viginal dryness to the point of very painfull intercourse.  Changed to Tomoxifin and my OBGYN prescribed Vagifem and problem solved for the dryness.  BUT... now I have leg cramps all night long if I have been on my feet at all during the day.  I had blood tests done and it showed low sodium, potasium and the BIN alittle low.  I now drink gatoraid and have cut down on water intake but that doesn't seem to help.  Has anyone else had this problem with Tomoxifen?  If you have have you found a solution for the problem.  Thanks! CJ

Legs, arms, hands, feet, toes etc... cramping is my hobby LOL

It gets worse when I don't get enough water and gets better when I do. I have to force water though since it's not my favorite beverage.

Best wishes

Hi there, yes my sister who is on Tamoxifen has leg cramps, but so do I, I get them every now and then and I am on Arimidex. So go figured that out!..You know that as we age, most people get these awful cramps..and my doctor has advised me to eat more bananas and food that contain potassium which tend to lessen the attacks. Also I noticed that if my legs and feet are a bit cold (especially at night) and I stretch them while in bed, I immediately get quite a severe cramp in one leg, very seldom in both.Since I suffer from a sciatic nerve on my right side, the cramps I get are usually on the right leg also.I used to get these cramps before starting Arimidex, but now it's a bit worse. So I guess that both medications unfortunately have this side effects. When I get these attacks I get in the shower and run the hot water as hot as I can stand it,over my leg and I get instant relief.I tried cold water but it doesn't work for me.I hope that someone else has advices to share about these cramps and let us know....Take care..
