lightheaded and nauseous

My mother who is 62 had a mastectomy last night,I took her home today.She is extremely nauseous and dizzy.I s there something that can be done?

Dear Albina, Sometimes after surgery people can have side effects such as nausea which may be related to the anesthesia or other medications prescribed.  Hopefully you have been in touch with your mother's doctor for advice and she is feeling better as well.

You might contact your Dr. for some type of medication for her nausea. It may well be due to the effect of the anesthesia or if she was given some pain medication for home use and is taking it ..... that often causes nausea in some people. i would certainly give her Dr. a call for some advice.

Did you try ginger tea, you can find it at any health food store.
