long-term bone/joint pain

After 4 chemo treatments on Doxyrubicin, my Dr. swithched me to 4 treatments of Taxol.  I was aware of all the side effects before treatment began, but now that I am done (4 wks ago), I am still experiencing excruciating bone and joint pain in my legs and hips.  Is this normal, and will it go away?

Dear hopmom:  In most cases, the side effects of bone and joint pain will resolve but this may take time and varies significantly.  You may wish to address this with your oncologist who can evaluate your situation and prescribe medication if appropriate.
