long term scarring following tram flap surgery.

long term scarring following tram flap surgery.

I had a very successful tram flap reconstruction in 2007. Over the past few months I have suffered with a feeling of the area around the edge of my scar is swollen and the area under my arm becomes tight . I have had a lot of teasts as I feared that the pain was caused by secondary cancer in my ribs / lungs and lymph nodes. All the tests are clear. I do take arimidex and think this may cause the cycle this causes. Has anyone else encountered this problem. If you did, how did you remedy it.

Dear lizzieloo5176:  Without evaluation, it is impossible to speculate on what this might be.  As all the testing is negative, you may ask about physical therapy to see if this could loosen the tightness - as long as your doctor feels this would be a reasonable approach.
