lump in radiation area

lump in radiation area

11 years ago I had a lumpectomy and was given radiation treatment.  The area that was radiated is quite hard.  I developed a lump in that area that became swolen and sore.  For several days now I have been able to push on it and clear liquid and small white pieces (like a pimple) come out.  It has been draining and every day more substance comes out.  The swelling has gone down and the substance is less - also there is absolutely no odor - but now there is a small indentation and it is still draining.  Could this be caused by radiation - or be a cyst - or is it something I should worry about.

Dear mesuz, You may have developed a pimple there, or a boil or some such thing at the area.  However, you should let your doctor know about it and have it checked out to make sure all is well.
