lump under left nipple painful

hello there iam 23 yo and i have a solid mass in my let nipple sounds like what jon671 described  its painful to he touch is about an inch in size used to get smaller with ice but dosnt react to it any more seems abit larger then it was about 6 or 7 months ago ive had one when i was about 15 or 16 but ti went away after a few months this one seems to be sticking around alot longer then the other one been around for about a year now its very painful and  hurts when i bump it or try to sleep  face down  the doctor said it might be gysnomastia so i wikied it and it didnt seem like the same thing but what jon described did its very annoying to the point where i want to cut it out of my self as cant really afford any medical bills so what do you think i should doctor i dont want to live with this forever

Usually these lumps are hormone related just as the one you had when you were younger seemed to be. This too may go away in time but a visit to your Dr. for an examination and maybe an Ultrasound would be a good idea. Things like this should never be ignored even though most times they do either go away completely OR at least reduce in size. I know you have seen a Dr. but you need more of an answer than "it might be". Why not try a Breast Specialist for a second opinion ??   Take care .....
