lump

Hello! In June of 09 I had a mamogram (mammogram) & ultrasound for lump in left breast. I was told I have fibroids. The lump is much larger now. Should I be concerned or is this common for fibroid tissue?

If your lump gets bigger premenstrually, assuming that you still have periods, and then shrinks again, I would not worry, and it probably is a fibroid.

if your tumor has been growing slowly but steadily without changing before and after menstruating, I would get it checked out again.

thank you! I was also concerned because the breast that has lump seems larger & heavier than right breast.....is that common with fibroids as well?

If your fibroids are limited to the one breast that has become larger and heavier as well, I would see a good doctor about this. Katrin
