lumps in armpit

for a couple days, i have had pain under my armpit. when i raised it, i noticed small bumps inside that are very sore to the touch. i am worrying that this could b breast cancer, but i thought the lumps wouldnt hurt. can someone please help me so i can get some sleep? i am very worried as i have 4 kids that i love dearly and just need honesty, thank you.

The lumps you describe appear to be swollen lymph nodes and this can occur for a variety of reasons. Usually this might indicate some type of infection somewhere in the body as this is the normal and expected response of the lymph nodes. If you think you have some breast issues then you should see your DR. for a clinical breast exam and any other testing that might be appropriate in your situation. If you are terribly concerned then by all means make an appointment for an exam.    Regards ....
