lumps

I'm 22 yrs old and I've had lumps in my breast ever since i was 16. A couple months ago i went to get an ultrasound done on my right breast that showed 3 lumps that they called fibroadenomas. well not to long after that i noticed pain on my left breast when i did a breast exam i felt a lump soft and tender. i also started getting pains under my left armpit and found a lump bigger than a pea. All the lumps i have are moveable. my breast and armpit is always in pain. i have an ultrasound appointment for next week but just wondering if anyone has any idea what this can be. Their's no history of cancer in my family but i'm still very scared.

Hi,

Glad the post was of help to you.

Do let us know about how you are doing and about the mammogram and ultrasound reports.

Do not forget to ask for a copy of the reports for your self, and also to dicuss the report with your doctor and clear any doubts.

Regards.

Hi,

From the description that you give this seems to be fibroadenomas most probably.
These incraese in size, pain and tendernes with hormonal fluctuations as seen during menstrual cycles.

There is no reason to get scared - this does not seem to be cancer.

You should still go ahead with the relevant investigations to come to a confirmed diagnosis and consult your breast specialist about further management.

Let us know what your doctor tells you.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
