lymph nodes in underarm

Hi, for over 6 months now i have had a constant dull ache in my left underarm, really deep, and if i press i can feel a lymph node and it's tender to the touch. I've been to 3 doctors and they all said it was just my lymph nodes and around that time i had also had my breasts checked. just wondering if this sounds like a sign of cancer or not.

Lymph nodes become enlarged for several reasons ... sometimes this is due to an infection somewhere in the body. You mention having your breasts checked but I'm not sure what you mean by "checked". If you have no breast symptoms such as a lump you would need to have either a mammogram or ultrasound if you think there might be a problem concerning the breast. A swollen lymph node wouldn't necessarily be connected to anything going on in the breast.  If your Dr.s aren't concerned and you say you have seen 3 different Dr.s .... then I wouldn't worry about an enlarged node.    Regards ....
