Yes, this is scary.  You will want to talk with your doctor more and tell him you need more explaination that you are scared.  They should talk with you more about this.  It really depends on your case however what people might tell you is that swollen lymph nodes means also sickness.  They might be waiting to see if you have an infection and feel the lymphs are swollon again in 6 weeks.  I heard if you play with the lymph node it will no go down so you might want to leave it alone.

I have a CT and doctor's appt today for lymph nodes that are swollen.  It was a hard and scary 6 weeks - but today it the day and I am ready.  The best thing for you to do is not to consume your 6 weeks reading and worrying about what it might be.  Best to just wait until you know what it is, then research that.

If they were really worried they may not have waited??????????  I already have BC and have delt with that and I am doing great I am worried the cancer is spreading.

A biopsy is the best way to test the nodes for cancer, you will really not know what it is until you test it however listen to your doctors and get one that you trust.  They can also give you an MRI to to look for lumps in your body.  A PET scan can also check for cancer in your body.  You might ask about those tests when you call. Good luck but I don't think you should worry!!!!
