male balding

male balding

I finished chemo in April of 2009, had radiation after and now take hormone inhibitors.  My hair in baby fine, sticks straight up I have a big bald spot in the back and still wear a wig to go out.  I took Tamoxifan (tamoxifen) which stopped the hair from growing and made me fell icky so my doctor switched me to Arimadex.  Is anyone else having this problem, I'm 48 now in menopause and long for hair that doesn't make me look like a clown.

Complete regrowth of hair following Chemotherapy doesn't always occur. I don't believe there is much relation between Tamoxifen and the hair growth. You may not get a complete regrowth; many don't and I would think you would have had it by now since you finished Chemo in  4/2009. A wig may be your answer.      Regards......
