Hi,
I'm a 43 year old with four children aged between 19 years and 22 months.
I recently nicked my underarm skin while I was shaving (I think I may have taken off what appeared to be a skin tag).
It was sore and red with a visible graze for about a week but this has now gone leaving a reddish skin discolouration and a hard lump about the size of a small hazelnut.
I am a little concerned and wondered if I should get it checked out by my GP (I have very little faith in my GP).
Any advice would be greatly received.
Thank you,
Mam24

Hi.  The reddish skin discoloration and hard lump in your armpit are likely signs of infection.  You may wish to consult with another doctor (if you don't trust your GP) so he can give you a prescription for a topical antibiotic.
