It has been two years since I stopped having periods following chemotherapy. I have been on arimidex for 9 months having switched from tamoxifenTamoxifen Tamoxifen citrate. For the past five weeks, I have been bleeding and appear to be having a period. Does anyone relate to this? I am overweight, stressed, and too busy to exercise in case there is a connection. Any experience out there with this?
You need to tell your physician about this. You don't want to have periods for sure, and it sometimes happens that after you were put into menopause by chemo, that your ovaries revive even two years later. (which means you were not actually in menopause)
