In April of this year my diagnostic mammorgram showed microcalcifications in a clusterCluster headaches, dense breast tissues. I saw a breast specialist and he ordered an MRI which showed I didn't have a tumor with these microcal. In January I have another mammogram scheduled, what are the chances that the clusterCluster headaches got larger? Any info would be helpful.
Hi,
Microcalcifications are tiny specks of calcium that need to be investigated further to rule out cancer. The microcalcifications if large or clustered are usually biopsied for a confirmed diagnosis. Most calcifications are usually benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo. The usual plan of follow up is a regularRegular insulin breast self exam, a clinical evaluation in 6 months and a mmammogram every 6 months or annually or as your doctor advises. Dont worry about the calcifications growing, relax and just keep your appointment with your doctor regularly. Goodluck.
