microcalicifications to lumps to discharge

i'm 41 and have always had "dense" and fibrous breasts.  no family history of breast cancer.  i've had a couple of lumps in right breast/armpit that my dr dismissed as milk ducts and had my first mammogram about 7 months ago.  they saw "things they didnt like" and did a bazillion different kinds of mammograms, ultrasounds and resulted in cluster calcifications diagnosis.  told me "not to worry" and to come back in a year.  that was not acceptable to me; so, i sought a second opinion who looked at my tests and determined i should come back in six months.  about a month ago, the lumps really seemed to be getting bigger and a bit sore, so i scheduled an appt with my dr.  the day before my appt, i was undressing and discovered a clear, very oily like substance all over my right breast.  turns out that it came out of my nipple - no injury and irritation - i didnt even feel it come out.  the inside of my bra cup literally looked like i poured two tablespoons of olive oil in it.  was a bit alarming.  went to dr this morning and she didnt like the lumps and bit about the oily discharge.  she squeezed my nipple and a small bloody discharge came out.  she  faxed over an "urgent" request for further testing at a local and reputable breast center.  of course they are booked until monday afternoon.  i'm a bit freaked out.  any words of wisdom?

I don't know how much wisdom these words will contain .... breast discharge when it occurs on stimulation (squeezing) isn't so much of a concern as when it is spontaneous. This could be an issue with the milk ducts and fairly easily treated. The lumps having been present and painful don't make me think "cancer" as much as Fibroadenoma. I like you would not have been happy with the diagnosis of "clustered microcalcifications" and the yr. wait for a re-check. As a rule when clusters or groupings are demonstrated on film a biopsy is recommended or at the very least a 3 month re-check. I'm a bit surprised that when the lumps were first palpated an Ultrasound wasn't done but there may have been a reason. I'm a firm believer that when something seems amiss involving the breast, a Breast Specialist should be consulted if no testing is recommended by one's personal Physician. I feel certain that you are now on the right track to some solution to the problem.   Kindest regards ....
