my lump is back

my lump is back

i had a double lumpectomy less than a year ago.  one from each breast.  both were just thickening of my  breasts but i was told by my surgeon that they can in time show up again, but they should not any time soon.  if i find anything to call asap.  well, the one in my left breast has come back with a vengence.  my left breast is twice the size of my right and i am scared.  my husband found the lump about 4 months ago and it has grown since.  i'm without health insurance right now(bad excuse) and i cannot afford to go through this right now.   what are my chances this is cancer?  i have breast cancer on both sides of my family and i am on depoprovera for the last 10 years because of my menstrual cycle.  i need direction. my surgery was in march of 2008 for my first lumpectomy,

Like you, I have no insurance and had to go through the county health department. I guess it depends on where you live and what your income is. My income was low enough that my doctor visits and prescriptions are less than $5.00 each. My first time there was as a walk-in and I waited 8 hrs. to see a doctor. Since then, I've had appointments and they are fairly prompt. I've also had a few prescriptions, mammogram, ultrasound and needle aspiration done. I thank God for the county health department.
