hi everyone.i have breast cancer in my left breast and have chosen not to have the mastectomy i was advised to have, i have had chemo and finished that a year ago,im taking tamoxifen and starting radiotherapy next month, what i need to know is... ive never noticed bloody discharge from my right nipple before but have now! can anyone tell me if this is normal when my breast cancer is in the left breast or could it have spread to the right one,

Dear shas, Bloody discharge is a finding that should be evaluated, it is not a normal symptom.  You'd want to discuss this with your doctor so they can evaluate why this is occurring.

bloody discharge is not normal under any circumstance, and needs to be evaluated. The majority of women with bloody discharge turn out to have something other than cancer, but you can't know for sure without more tests. If it were due to cancer, the likelihood it would be a new one rather than spread from the other side.

I had bloody discharge from my breast, and I found I had in situ ductal carcinoma and Inflamatory breast cancer.  You definitely need to get it evaluated ASAP.
