neoplastic nodule

I had a breast MRI and the results said that a 6mm enhancing nodule was seen is is supicious for a neoplastic
nodule.  What does that mean in english.  I am having a followup focused ultrasound biopsy.

Actually a neoplasm can be "benign", "pre-cancerous" or "cancer". The word used only means that there is "new growth" that is of cells different than the normal surrounding cells. A biopsy is definitely in order to ascertain what type of growth this represents. At this point it is only "terminology" and the biopsy will tell you what you need to know. When you get your results if you have more questions or concerns please return and ask .... Take care
