i have had my milk duct,s removed over a year ago due to green and blood comeing out of my nipple i have had it for 5 year,s and in the end there removed them but now its back in the same nipple andi have been back to the hops and there said there is nothing they can do           is this true

Hi there.

What may be causing this problem is what is called a benign breast duct papilloma.  Papillomas are very hard to localize and would cause symptoms such as nipple bleeding.  It is indeed very hard to operate on a second recurrence of papillomas and not so many surgeons are competent or confident enough to do this.

However, I believe that you can find a surgeon or doctor that can still do something about this.  You can ask a second opinion from other hospitals to have this checked.  Other tests may have to be repeated such as the breast ductogram to evaluate the remaining ducts.
