nuclear injection pain

just want the truth about the pain.  I have implants.  I have a low pain threshold.  Can they give any type of medicine to help the pain?  I an 51.

It all depends on how you react to pain or discomfort. Some women find these injections quite painful and others only experience mild discomfort. Some type of numbing medicine is used and the discomfort is more from the amount of fluid that is injected rather than the isotope  itself. I would suggest you make it clear to the Radiologist that you have a rather low pain threshold well in advance of your appointment.  Regards .....
