one sided nipple drainage

I have had the same nipple drainage for at least 10 years.  I had mammogram three years ago everything was fine.  Just had another one and also fine, no changes.  My discharge only comes out when squeezed. Fluid looks yellowish to light greenish on white material.  Doesn't seem very stickey if at all.  It seems to be comming out of the same spot each time that I've ever checked to see if I still had it.  I have fibercystic breasts and I am on a birth control pill, which I have taken for 20 or so years.  I am 40 years old.  No cancer runs in the family.  What is the possibility that this is cancer?  What type of cancer, if it may be could it be?

Sorry I didn't see that you already are having your mammograms and that all is well.
I don't think you should worry about cancer at all.Nipple discharge will stop when you will stop the squeezing.
Take care...

Hi,
Many women have some type of nipple discharge or fluid when their breasts are squeezed, and its normal ( but you should stop squeezing the nipple). Squeezing the nipple sends message to the brain and the pituitary gland responds by increasing prolactin levels, which in turn produces discharge from the nipple. Some women are more prone to more discharge including women on; birth control pills, certain blood pressure medications or on major tranquilizers.  These medications increase prolactin levels in the body. . The time to worry about nipple discharge is when it’s spontaneous (comes out by itself without squeezing), keeps on happening, and is only on one side.  If it is clear and sticky or bloody.A visit to your doctor would be advisable since a Mammogram would be recommended when one reaches 40 yrs old.
Best wishes..
