pain control after mastectomy surgery

two weeks after having a mastectomy  and five lymphnodes removed what pain level should I be feeling now? And what medication would usually be required at this stage.

I would think that your pain would be minimal at this point; we often confuse soreness with pain. If it hurts when you move in some way that isn't pain .... pain is when it hurts when you are sitting or lying perfectly still. There can be some nerve pain that comes and goes due to the injury to nerves being cut during surgery; this is usually a very sudden, sharp, stabbing pain that occurs at any time but only lasts for less than a minute. Others may have a different opinion on this subject as we all react differently to pain. As far as medication; that's another variable ... I never filled my pain med. prescription following surgery.     Regards ....
