pain in nipples

i am 54 and had undergone hystrectomy 15 yeras back. Since last many days i have developed pain in nipples when touched but no lump is there

I would think this might be due to hormonal changes in your body .... I would doubt anything of a serious nature since the discomfort is present in both breasts. Having had a hysterectomy would have no bearing on the symptoms since you don't mention that your ovaries were also removed. The uterus produces no hormones but the ovaries certainly do and any breast tenderness is most often associated with changing hormone levels in the body. You might bring up the subject on your next Dr.s visit. I would think that you are having yearly Mammograms and doing monthly self exams.   Regards ....

At the time of surgery my both ovaries,tubes and uterus were removed. I have not done any mammography till now, but i want to go for this test very soon.

Well then probably NOT a hormonal issue. I still would doubt a terribly serious problem since this involves both breasts. This would be quite unusual and breast or nipple tenderness isn't a common symbol of breast cancer. PLEASE do not let this keep you from starting to have yearly Mammograms as this is the BEST early detection method that we have. Regards ...
