After my lumpectomy  and sentinal node biopsy on May 15th of this year, the pain in and around my incision sites would change and move, including a great deal of pain in my nipple area and other areas which were no where near my incision sites. I was in a great deal of pain for nearly 1 month and  some additional pain after that, depending on my physical activity. I was in so much pain, not relieved by loratab, that at day 4, post surgery, I went back to the docotro thinking something was wrong. He said it was normal and the pain from the lymph nodes removed could cause a great deal of pain thorought my entire breast, arm, back and shoulder, which it did. He changed my pain med to percoset. I would have to take 2 just to knock my self out so I would not feel any pain. The hardest thing to get use to and worse pain was in the axillary area or arm pit. I still have some numbness in my arm pit. I then had a 2nd lumpectomy on June 29th, but no lymphnosed removed, just the  lump. This was much better in regards to pain, but I am sure could take months to completely heal?
