patchy hair regrowth after full brain radiation and chemo

patchy hair regrowth after full brain radiation and chemo

When my hair started falling out I decided to shave my head after I got a bald spot on the top of my head.  Now two and a half months after chemo my hair has started to grow back but in patches.  On the back of my head my hair is dark and growing quickly.  On the sides it's light and sparse.  On the top, same area as my first bald spot it's barely there.  Should I shave it all off again or will it be months before it starts growing back?  I don't wear a wig and want my hair to look nice.  Right now it's patchy.

Hang in there!

When my hair started growing back in, it was patchy too.  It takes time.  Some people prefer to shave the hair that's growing back quicker so that it appears that all of the hair is growing in at the same time.

Hope it keeps coming in as quickly as possible!

Warmly,

Chris
