pimple on breat during pregnancy

About 1 month ago I noticed a bump right beside my nipple on my areola within days it got hard, and extremely painful I did not want to wear a bra or shirt. I brought it up to my OB/GYN once it was sore and I could not tolerare it anymore.  Since I am in my last month of pregnancy, she told me it was just a milk gland gland that was inflammed. She told me to put a warm compress on it as much as possible and I have been doing that for about 2 weeks now a few times a day and it has just gotten more sore, hard and inflammed. Yesterday I happened to look closer to it, and noticed that there was a white/ off white substance under the tight skin. I sterilized a pin and popped this bump, I was mortified at the puss/ discharge that came out of this bump. I continued to squeeze it as much as the pain would allow until it went from a thick puss like discharge to a clear bloody fluid. After that it did not feel as hard and I was much relieved. I wiped it with some rubbing alcohol to try to dry it out thinking it is a pimple. Again today it was feeling hard and sore so I popped it again and the same thick off white substance squirt out a second time. I have never seen this much discharge its disgusting. It seems that the bump is going down more and more as I drain this thing, but im 2 and a half weeks from my due date. Just wondering if this is going to cause any issues brest feeding or what it could be or why. I go see my OB/GYN again in a few days and I will ask her again but it seemed like incorrect information the first time I dont know what to think right now. any help???

Dear Sara0528:  Without evaluation, it is impossible to determine what a "bump" might be.  You may want to contact your OB and explain to him/her what you have posted to see if they would like to see you sooner.  As we are cancer experts, your questions about breastfeeding would be better directed to your OB.
