my Relative has undergone LUMPECTOMY WITH LYMPHNODE REMOVAL.
HER histopath report shows -- Extensive intraductal carcinoma is noted in peritumoral breast parenchyma & also in one of the resected margins. All the margins are free of invasive carcinoma. However ,one of the margins shows lobular intraepithelial neoplasia.
axillary & sentinel lymph nodes is NEGATIVE FOR METAPLASIA.
ER -- NEGATIVE
PR-- NEGATIVE.
CERB B2--NEGATIVE.
KINDLY ADVISE TREATMENT OPTIONS.

As a rule some form of treatment is advised post lumpectomy. Since there is no lymph node involvement Radiation alone may be advised. This will depend on the other factors noted in the Path. report but this is something that will be determined by the Oncologist. There would be no hormonal therapy (Tamoxifen, etc.) since the tumor was ER/PR neg. also no Herceptin Rx as the tumor was also neg. for the protein.   Best wishes
